Many don't think about their glasses when they go on trips, but losing or damaging your glasses away from home can make your trip less than pleasurable.
If you're taking a road trip, you can easily bring an extra case or two to keep your glasses safe. Chances are, if you are driving around the state or across the country, you'll be wearing your glasses, so within the car, you simply need a case.
There are also handy visor clip-on glasses holders that you can keep in your car, so you can safely store your glasses.
When you tuck in for the night at your hotel, keep your case within your suitcase. With your glasses safely kept inside, there is no chance of you leaving them at the hotel.
By keeping your glasses case within your bag or suitcase, you can be certain that they are safe. You may also want to leave your sunglasses in the car, so they don't get left behind.
If you're flying, you may want to secure your glasses in your carry-on luggage while you sit back and enjoy your flight. Unless it's a sunny flight, your sunglasses can rest easy in your carry-on luggage or your purse.
This way you know your sunglasses are stored away safely. If they are prescription glasses, and it's a longer flight, you might also want to store your glasses in their case in your carry-on.
If you have to wear glasses at all times, consider getting an eyeglass chain, so that your glasses are safely chained around your neck, and if they fall off you while you sleep, they won't get very far!
Try not to keep your glasses on your head or tucked in your shirt collar, because these are two of the quickest ways to lose or damage your glasses.
If you are within the states, you may be able to find a store who can repair or quickly replace your glasses, but if you are abroad, it may be more difficult.
You may also want to get a second pair of prescription glasses and keep them in your suitcase, just in case something happens on the trip. That way, you know that you'll be able to enjoy the trip without missing a single sight.
